6 Reduce child mortality

Where we are?

A near halving of the child mortality rate during 1995–2015 (from 14.7 to 8.0 deaths per 1000 live births) occurred due to purposeful efforts made, including by reforming and developing the perinatal care system. Examples of inconsistent statistical data suggest the need to improve the observation system. In general, progress is significant, and target values are even expected to be exceeded.
