Think.Eat.Save: Reduce Your Foodprint on World Environment Day
World Environment Day, or simply "WED", is right around the corner and there's a wide range of possibilities of what you can do to celebrate.
The WED website offers information on a variety of public events that are being held all over the world, as well as many tips of what you can do to take action as an individual. The WED team would also like to encourage you to participate in the global social media activities that will raise the call for environmental action. Here are two simple things you can do: 1) Thunderclap Last year on June 5th, World Environment Day was amongst the top ten ‘most talked about’ topics on social media platforms across the world. This year, we want to do better. We have launched a #WED2013 ‘From Our Environment’ thunderclap, to spread the word about the importance of our environment far and wide through Facebook and Twitter, at 3pm on June 5. Now we have only 2 days to reach as many people as possible – the clock is counting!
Please help us reach the highest number possible and make the environment TREND on World Environment Day www.unep.org/wed Visit http://thndr.it/121qxS0, click support through Twitter or Facebook, and accept the thunderclap application to send a single message to your followers on World Environment Day. Share the fact that you've signed up - and ask friends and family to do the same! 2) Greening the Blue If you are not in Nairobi, you can still take a picture from your office or home and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
