Want to know more about the human rights based approach? Register for a training for civic activistsJan 23, 2017
In January and February 2017, UNDP and civil society organization “MART” are organizing a series of eight regional trainings on human rights based approach (HRBA). The workshops are meant for sub-national civil society organizations and have the purpose to build their capacity to apply HRBA in their work.
In December 2016, UNDP and its partner MART organized a 3-day training for 18 trainers from different civil society organizations. During the three-days training, human rights experts from eight hub civil society organisations supported by UNDP acquired a good understanding of the fundamental principles of HRBA, learned how to introduce it in their programmes and projects, and practiced how to become trainers on this subject.
These trainers will now transfer their knowledge on HRBA with other CSOs in their regions, and they are expected to reach up to 160 civic activists.
The training sessions are planned as follow:
25-27 January 2017: HRBA training in Chernihiv organized by NGO ‘MART’
02-04 February 2017: HRBA training in Uzhhorod organized by ‘Center for Civic Initiatives’
06-08 February 2017: HRBA training in Lviv organized by ‘Women’s Perspectives’
09-11 February 2017: HRBA training in Rivne organized by Committee of Voters of Ukraine

23-25 February 2017: HRBA training in Kherson organized by NGO ‘Protection’
