Key Facts

Launched in 2014, the educational Youth Worker Programme was the first national platform for programmes and activities for young people, information exchange on best practices, and professional networking. More than 2,400 programme graduates from all regions of Ukraine have become pioneers for developing youth policy in Ukraine;

Over 600 young women and men developed the knowledge and skills to apply innovative solutions to address human rights and democracy challenges, and six teams implemented their pilot initiatives with UNDP support;

With UNDP support for institutional capacity development, 15 leading subnational CSOs have reformed their internal governance systems, enhanced their openness and transparency in reporting, increased their financial sustainability, and strengthened their positions as regional leaders by engaging over 25,000 people in promoting democratic reforms and human rights.
