Key Facts

The percentage of members of parliament reporting their activities to the public has doubled, from 15 percent in 2017 to 31 percent in 2019.

Parliament has become more transparent, making data open and available to the public – the number of data sets in machine-readable formats on parliament’s open data portal has doubled, from 240 in 2016 to 502 in 2019.

UNDP piloted the Parliamentary Reform Office – a group of 15 top experts advising parliament, providing support with the legislative process, oversight, accountability and the digitalization of the institution.
