Assistants to MPS: experience of some European States and recommendations for Ukraine
In order for a Member of Parliament to fulfi ll his duties in a successful way, assistance is necessary. Volumes of secretary and analytical work, as well as the processing of messages from the citizens that an MP is obliged to do are overwhelming for one person. That is why the institute of MP assistants exists in the majority of democratic countries.
The present analytical note is directed at studying positive practices of certain foreign countries regarding this issue, as well as the opportunities to improve effectiveness and transparency of the work conducted by the assistants to the Verkhovna Rada deputies.
