The Assessment of the National Human Rights Strategy Implementation

August 4, 2020

The first National Human Rights Strategy and associated five-year Action Plan were adopted by the Government of Ukraine in 2015, providing a national level roadmap for the country to accelerate progress in protecting human rights.  The first five-year Action Plan comes to an end in 2020.

The Assessment of the National Human Rights Strategy Implementation (2016 – 2019) reviews key achievements in implementing the strategy’s Action Plan, challenges, and the next steps needed to advance human rights in Ukraine.

The Assessment is done by the independent experts and civil society organizations which monitor the National Human Rights Strategy implementation.

The publication is supported by the Human Rights for Ukraine (HR4U) project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark during 2019-2023.
