Methodological Recommendations for the Consideration of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Development Strategies of the Territorial Communities

13 Oct 2017 60 pages

In 2017 Ukraine finished the process of adaptation of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 (SDGs), adopted by the Member States of the United Nations on September 25, 2015. As a result, the National Report "Sustainable Development Goals: Ukraine" was developed and includes a list of adapted targets and indicators for their monitoring, which "provides the baseline for Ukraine's development by 2030".

The next stage following the SDGs adaptation is their implementation, including the process of their integration into national and local development strategies and programs.

The publication provides the recommendations on the consideration of SDGs during the process of development or reviewing of the Development Strategies of the Territorial Communities. The publication was prepared within the implementation of the UNDP/GEF project "Integrating Rio Conventions Provisions into Ukraine’s National Policy Framework".
